After the war, he became a bounty hunter until a fortune posted on his head left him unable to work in the trade. Without a job, Bendak turned to his friend and employer Ajuur the Hutt , who convinced him to wear his armor once more and enter the dueling rings of Taris under the alias Bendak Starkiller. Refusing to leave an opponent alive, Bendak retired from the ring after the Sith outlawed death matches.
During the Jedi Civil War , he remained on Taris, watching matches in the cantina and hoping for the day he could return to the arena for another death match with a worthy opponent. Bendak was born into a family of miners, a tradition that went back generations that he decided to follow. In the year that the Mandalorians invaded the Republic, Bendak was stationed on the mining colony of Vanquo. Working in the mines on the dayside when the invaders attacked , he began working on a defense for when they would reach the mines.
And sure enough, that defense held the Mandalorians back for two weeks , killing a dozen Mandalorian warriors. Bendak reluctantly agreed, as the only other alternative was slavery. A quick learner in the art of combat and weapon handling, Bendak rose to the rank of Field Marshal in only two years and received the golden armor of the Neo-Crusaders.
However, his soldiering career ended when the forces under the command of Revan defeated the Mandalorian forces in the last battle of the Mandalorian Wars. In need of work, Bendak became a skilled bounty hunter, offering his skills to the highest bidder. Bendak found himself with a huge bounty on his head soon after, as he accidentally killed a nobleman's daughter, and was forced to retire the trade and turn to his employer Ajuur the Hutt on Taris.
The Hutt encouraged Bendak to become a duelist, using his old armor and adding a stage name to his own: Starkiller. Despite the fact that Mandalorians were hated on the world, Bendak Starkiller became a popular gladiator in the dueling ring—killing many unfortunate opponents.
He still hoped for a day when a worthy opponent would arrive for one last duel, so he would wander into the cantina to watch the duels. That day eventually came, when the duelist known as the "Mysterious Stranger" became the new champion of Taris. An impressed Bendak came out of his retirement, wanting to duel him in an illegal death match. The defenses held back the troops for nearly two weeks, killing 12 Mandalorians in total.
When the mining plant finally fell however, Gorse was asked to join the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders, instead of being punished. This offer was made due to his resilience and spirit during the two week ordeal. Gorse accepted the offer, but only because the alternative would've been slavery. According to his superiors, Gorse was an excellent student, picking up weapon's handling and military strategy with easy. He was awarded the golden Neo-Crusader armor after one year, and he was promoted to the rank of Field Marshall after only two years, his future as an officer seemed promising.
But all of that soon-to-be fame would be ended prematurely by the sudden ending of the Mandalorian Wars due to Revan and his victorious last battle against the Mandalorian forces. He was brought in contact with Ajuur the Hutt, a crimelord on the planet of Taris, then still a autonomous system.
There Bendak was introduced to the bounty hunting business, and it didn't take long for him to make a name for himself. His days as a bounty hunter were cut short, however, after the placing of a huge bounty on his head.
Tros was because of the accidental murder of a nobleman's daughter who was involved in a hostage situation. Shortly after hanging up his bounty hunting boots, Gorse was persuaded by Ajuur to start fighting in the underground arena's of Taris using his old Neo-Crusader armor, his skills with the blaster, and a flashy stagename.
This proved to be a right decision since he, using the name "Bendak Starkiller", became a genuine celebrity among the gladior audience, famed by his winning streak in the infamous death matches. He managed to drag out that career for a couple of years, before the Sith took control of Taris. Death Matches were deemed illegal, and Bendak was forced to work with a stunfield within the arena, used to merely stun opponents rather than killing them. This radical change in the sport made him quit the arena in it's entirety, vowing to only parttake in death matches, illegal or not.

Posted November 06, Not sure if this is a glitch but I have beaten everyone in the duel ring up through twitch and I have the bounty for Bendak from Zax but Bendak is not appearing anywhere in the Upper Cantina, specifically right by the front entrance. I've left and come back, restarted the game, everything with no success. Maybe I'm missing something? No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply. He disappears from there, when he's ready to duel you. Talk to the Hut, is my advice. Urnoev Urnoev Sorry, data for given user is currently unavailable.
You should talk with the other duellists as well, especially Marl, he will tell you something about the other combatants, including Bendak Starkiller. He then should appear in the entrance hall of the cantina, next to Graouk. Just remember you lose light side points when you fight him. There is a way to duel Bendak without losing a light point. There's a youtube on it, if you have the search skills. The part that I recall has you using the convo path where you tell Bendak that you are there to I don't remember I see you are right.
You need Ulic's mod to do it. Posted November 07, Still nothing, he's nowhere near the entrance and I already spoke with Mal after I crushed him, spoke with Twitch after I beat him, the Hut just keeps saying to fight Bendak too bad " he's retired" but he is still nowhere to be seen by the Cantina entrance. I'd show you guys the picture but GOG won't let me upload the pic because its too large of a file. Did you talk to the hut with the bounties?
